Born in Kent and studied sculpture and industrial design at the Royal College of Art where he was awarded a silver medal and the college prize for drawing.
Experience of designing for manufacture and experimental woodblock printing was a significant influence - together with an instinctive personal link to the lyrical qualities of the Modern British movement.
In response has developed a diverse multi-disciplinary practice embracing painting, sculpture, design and printmaking - continually returning to explore potential cross-over areas between two and three-dimensional forms of expression.
The current work is an important watershed which develops still life and landscape themes in a unique hybrid form using painted aluminium - both wall-related and free standing. Larger scale pieces are under construction.
Moved his studio and workshop from London to Hastings in 2005.
